Our School...

Since 1952, the Pittsford Cooperative Nursery School (PCNS) has been providing 3- and 4-year olds and their parents the opportunity to share their first school experience and to build special friendships. The tradition continues today with the love and support of parents like you.

At PCNS, we are committed to nurturing the unique assets of each child during the preschool years by combining professional teaching with parent participation. 

The focus at PCNS is on promoting cooperative play and building healthy self-images through participation in small and large group activities. These activities provide opportunities for children to learn more about themselves, each other and the world around them.

PCNS offers an outstanding and varied program for children as a result of the cooperative effort between the teachers and parents.

• "Exciting news for the 2009-2010 school year!  PCNS is planning to hire a trained, permanent teacher assistant for each classroom.  Having another trained profesional in each class will reinforce consistency in the classroom and provide additional classroom enrichment activities."
